About Us
The site was born out of a simple, practical need: fast, searchable, on-the-go access to the rules, charts, and troubleshooting references that Loco Pilots rely on daily, without digging through stacks of printed manuals.
What You'll Find Here
- Signal Assistant System (SAS) — real-time signal updates between leading and trailing loco pilots.
- SWR Authority — quick reference for working authorities.
- Speed Chart — speed limits across wagon types.
- 3-Phase TSD — searchable fault-number troubleshooting for 3-phase locomotives.
- GR & SR Reference — a fully searchable digitisation of the Indian Railways General & Subsidiary Rules (SER, 2011 edition).
Why It Exists
Every tool on this site is built from real, on-the-job experience — created by someone who works the same footplate, follows the same rule books, and understands what actually needs to be at hand during a shift. LP Diary is maintained independently, in personal time, as a resource for the wider Loco Pilot community.
A Note on Accuracy
LP Diary is an unofficial, personally maintained study and reference aid. It is not a substitute for official Indian Railways publications. Please see our Disclaimer for full details.
